N.p., (1st ed., 1978). 344 pp., various photo-ills. D.j., 25 x 17cm. FINE. Here is a story of Telecommunications and Radar throughout the RFC and RAF. It essentially records the links between the RFC, the RAF Electrical and Wireless School, Flowerdown (a couple of miles north of Winchester) from 1922 to 1929 and the part played by the RAF by those Apprentices who passed through the hands of the extremely competent instructors at that school. It also takes into account the Squadrons instrumental in initiating Air/Ground, Ground/Air and Ground to Ground communications with yet the further development of Air/Air communications and Radar and the Civilian Establishments which made these accomplishments possible. Illustrated with photographs.
