[See Item No. 207 for details of Anthony Ditcham.] During his tragically short life, Ralph Kite rose to command a company of the 52nd Light Infantry on the Somme. Having won the Military Cross he was mortally wounded and spent an agonising month dying of his wounds. It is unusual to have a contemporary account of a soldier’s time in hospital. In essence, this is an informal history of the 52nd Light Infantry between the spring of 1915 and late 1916. Signed Presentation Copy. SCARCE.
