It is comprised of poems and narratives, humorous and serious, relating to army life and past wars. The First Part of this book was written by officers and men of the Green Howards’ Regiment, whilst Part II was drawn from various sources and acknowledged where possible. Nearly all the extracts in both parts had appeared in the columns of The Green Howards’ Gazette between 1893 and 1934. RARE.
