In 1934 two companies, Hamilton Standard (Division of United Technologies Corporation) and British Aerospace Dynamics Group (Hatfield-Lostock Division) began a formal association that was still going strong fifty years later when this book was published to commemorate their anniversary. At the time, in 1934, the association involved the manufacture of controllable pitch propellers. In the intervening years their relationship grew into other programmes and other products. This book is an informal history of the aircraft propeller, the product on which the companies were founded. It is also a tribute to the men and women who contributed to the propeller’s proud past and its promising future. This is a Special Limited Edition Copy, being No. 262 of only 500 Copies.
