This is an autobiography of John F. Leeming who was one of the pioneers of gliding and light-aeroplane flying in Great Britain. As holder of several important positions he had some interesting contacts with well-known personalities and he relates with usual frankness the 'inside' story of numerous events in the flying world. After lengthy experience in experimental work and the design of aircraft the author became prominent in the planning of the Light Aero Club Movement and was responsible for much of its initial organization. He was Chairman of the Lancashire Aero Club from 1924 to 1928, a member of the General Council of Light Aeroplane Clubs, a member of the Royal Aero Club Racing Committee, and held various responsible positions. In 1929, he became a Director of Northern Air Lines Ltd., and Northern Air Transport Ltd. and advised on various schemes connected with the aircraft industry. With photographic plates.
