A Byelorussian SD Battalion, SD-Bataillon 13, was formed at the start of 1943 using White Russian volunteers. Together with the regular Home Guard and Schuma battalions, this unit served as part of the German anti-partisan arsenal in White Russia. The history of this and other collaborationist formations is covered in this excellent study, as well as the story of the German anti-guerrilla war in the region of Army Group Centre and White Russia, and the Jewish holocaust.
